I currently work as a substitute teacher at Riverside Military Academy. I've worked with elementary children and teenagers extensively. My most recent position serves twenty and thirty somethings in their personal and spiritual formation. I have published my writing, acted on stage, spoken before thousands and mentored dozens. My personal intent is to explore life, discover new things, tackle hard challenges and inspire others to do the same. I believe in the value of the individual and don't believe one-size-fits-all.
Adaptive. I have a background in experiential education and believe that the method is not as important as the end result of having assimilated, understood, and taught back the information. A Little Bit About Me...

As a former computer instructor, I can't tell you how much I miss teaching. Teaching was the one career in my life where I felt completely fulfilled. I truly love sharing my knowledge and being able to teach others. In addition to teaching, I am also a lifelong student. I have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, an Associates Degree in Website Design and I am working towards an Associates Degree in Computer Programming. One thing I learned about teaching is that I never fail to learn something new, whether it be from a challenging question a student asks, or insight from a student that puts a new idea into my perspective. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University and am currently a graduate student in Reading at Clemson University. I have a BS in elementary education and absolutely love working with children. I have a minor in English, so I am confident in both my reading skills and writing skills. I have worked with third graders, first graders and kindergarteners in my undergraduate experience and believe I could work with any level.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a laid back teaching style, within the next year I plan to get my MAT so I can teach in NC. I believe that this will help me reinforce some of my teaching skills that I will use from everyday basis.
As a history major at Western I had to read many books and an accelerated rate. Also being an English minor I gained analytical and grammatical skills to help better understand pieces of literature I had to read and I can pass those skills to other students.
