I performed other language interpretation duties as assigned, such as providing general information at an information counter to the non-English speaking public and processed documents related to interpretation.I helped students into the classrooms who are unable to understand math and reading as well.I received daily calendar assignments from the school administration to translate into Creole and Spanish and accurately completed daily activity logs, and other documentation as required. I am experienced working with management and end-users to design, document, develop, implement, and maintain software in a wide variety of applications on a wide variety of computer platforms. My teching experience comes as a volunteer at PromiseLand Ministries, a homeless shelter with a drug-alcohol rehabilitation program, run by Spring Creek Community Church, in Crawfordville, Florida. (15 hours/week 1994-1997). I taught GED classes 1 night per week (1995-1996). I also served in day-to-day operations and as a church Deacon.

As a graduate of business who worked several years in the Financial services industry and having four young children. I saw the importance and having to tutor my children at home so they can have a better education. I home schooled and taught my eight year old who has a learning disability and autism. He is back in school and I am so proud that he excels in math and gets awards frequently. In in the past two years I have tutored three middle schoolers. I have also scored test for ETS.
I love teaching elementary, middle and high schoolers. I believe that every child has the capability to excel at anything if they put their mind to it. I do understand that there are some children who learn very quickly and other who are slower which is why it is important to teach in different way. To begin, I have always loved science and working with numbers. I'm very patient when trying to explain a topic to someone. I believe the majority of problems with comprehension people have, especially in math/science, are due to an incomplete background or an unclear explanation. With time and effort, most anyone can learn just about anything, and participating in that is very satisfying.
I completed my BS degree in electrical engineering in 2007. Teaching Math is not just about solving problems, using specific methods, equations & formulas that the student has to memorize, and then will forget after a couple days. It's about understanding the problems, it's about knowing where the problem is, and how to solve it using basic Math knowledge and some axioms, step by step, even reinventing the answer, if possible.
