My philosophy on teaching is not centered just on the concept at hand, but rather on the goal of helping the student develop the skills to expand on that concept and apply them to other problems. When I tutored other college students at the UW, I helped my students explore topics from every possible angle we could think of so that the student can fully develop a solid grasp of that topic, and lay down the foundations needed to be able to apply that learning and understanding to other situations and problems.
