I believe that the role of a teacher is to capture the curiosity of students by providing them with lessons and activities that require them to think outside of the box. Such activities should be hands-on and encourage the students to use their senses. I agree with John Dewey, the famous education philosopher, who believes that it is beneficial when teachers use experiential learning because it engages students and presents them with direct experience and focused reflection, which in turn, increases knowledge, develops skills, and clarifies values. Throughout my life, I have always dedicated myself completely to whatever task I take on. This quality has helped me earn a bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a 4.0 GPA in my first semester of graduate school at National Louis University in the Master of Arts in Teaching program.
