I enjoy working with children of all ages. I feel my career in social work has allowed me to become more centered on compassion as a means of education, and engaging the child in the learning process while being compassionate. As I am a very auditory/visual learner, I tend to to lean towards both auditory and visual techniques. I question the students as to what he or she intended to say in their writing, what is the intent of the paper--will this persuade the reader, inform the reader, compare/contrast ideas-- and see if the writer is in fact accomplishing this goal through effect word choices, sound reasoning, specific examples, and other components of writing. The hope is to edit the document for clarity geared towards the reader of the document and to polish the writing skills of the student.

I have been teaching since 2005, and doing one-on-one tutoring for just as long. I graduated with a BA in Anthropology, and an MA in Philosophy and Religion.
