I have a BS in Mathematical Biology from U of M Ann Arbor. I held a 3.61 math GPA. I have experience tutoring highschool students in algebra II as well as college students in calculus and statistics. During the last four years I have tutored students in Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus II, and Statistics.
My teaching style varies from student to student. However, the basic foundation is the same. I like to develop the fundamentals and build a foundation on top of them. Particularly, I feel it's important to relate their current studies to real life situations to help them understand the link between the theoretical material and practical solutions. I have tutored math and science for high school children at the West Midland Family Center for two years and am currently tutoring all five of my children in all subjects.
