I'm constantly asking questions of students and I'm never willing to accept "I don't know" as an answer. My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I have a college level education (third year undergrad) in all English areas, however I feel that it would be most efficient to use my knowledge to tutor elementary and high school level English.

I have tutored many young students throughout my life, and have been tutored myself. I do find it easier to work with younger children; however, I am capable of assisting those of high school or college age students who are struggling. I have helped young children learn how to read, write, count, and tell time on an analog clock. Though I do not have strictly professional tutoring experience (I have never been paid for my services) I know how to identify student's learning style(s) and work with them a way that they will benefit from. I believe that children and adult education is extremely important, and I can also assist those of any age who would like to learn to read and write.

My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : Learn how to read, write, and love Shakespeare. Work with all major plays, poems, and extensive knowledge of current critical works on Shakespeare and Chaucer.

I think people learn best when they are in a supportive and exciting environment. Education should engage students on multiple levels. I emphasis critical thinking skills and multi-faceted learning rather than asking students to spit back information that they won't retain.
