I teach lessons tailored to the individual student's needs. I use a variety of books and my own supplemental materials, and also include listening in lessons. In every lesson I focus on warm ups, technique, sight reading, and performance repertoire. I am very open to having the student bring in songs they want to learn or work on specific things they are interested in. In 1997 I was a teacher assistant for the Huntington Park High School music department. I ran rehearsals with the marching band, jazz band, jazz choir, beginning orchestra, and beginning band. In April of 2000 I started working at Middleton Street School where I had the music program under my direction for almost ten years.
