I practised law in Texas from 1966 until 2003 when I moved to Gainesville Florida with my family. I worked as a paralegal, parttime, for a lawfirm for awhile, then decided to take the Bar Exam in Florida. I took and passed the Florida Bar Exam in 2007. I became licensed as an attorney in Florida and am currently practicing law on a part-time basis. I am a real history buff, as well as politics.

I first began my love of teaching and tutoring children when I was a senior in high school. As the president of my school's National Honor Society, I began a tutoring program that enabled elementary and middle school students to be tutored by high school students. The key to being an effective teacher/tutor is finding a way to engage the student so that they are active in the learning process.
