The Student Comes First

I allow my teaching style to mold itself to each individual student, finding methods of communicating the information that best suit the learning style of my student. I favor a holistic approach to learning, believing that education should be of the whole person. If a student learns how a skill in his tutoring session can be applied in real life, then his or her perception of the subject may fundamentally improve.

I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and then received my Master's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Educational Technology. I have done extensive work in the technology department at our school and continue to work with SMART products teaching other teachers how to use technology in their classrooms.

My college grade point average is currently 3.53. After finishing up my A.S. I like to challenge my students to reach their potential. I realize there is a fine line between challenging and frustrating my students. I like for my students to figure out math problems on their own as much as possible. My teaching style is to model new material, do guided practice, and independent practice.
