My comments on tutoring American History : I was a history major at Loyola Marymount University. Outside of my general history classes I took Contemporary America, Young America, Civil War and Reconstruction, WW2, and Cold War courses.

My studies in history have made me a terrific writer and researcher. I also have a great amount of experience in creative writing having taken many courses and working in talent agencies. Have fun while learning!

I teach with the multiple intelligence approach. Every child has a special way that they learn whether it be spatial, linguistic, mathematical, kinesthetic, musical, intra/interpersonal, or a naturalist, the way they learn is the key to success. Unlocking each students giftedness makes learning fun and exciting. For instance, a kinesthetic learner would learn their spelling words best by jumping rope while spelling the words. Or a spatial person would learn them best by painting the words on chart paper or drawing them in different colors with chalk on the pavement.
