Need Piano Lessons?

My teaching style is not entirely concrete, for I feel that it depends on the maturity of the student and willingness to learn the subject at hand. I am very patient when I need to be, and my main goal is to simply make sure each student walks away knowing what they needed to learn.
I am a 19 year old college student who is living in Murrieta for the next few summer months, and attends Cal State Fullerton. I have taken piano lessons for over 11 years now, and have a few years experience in teaching/tutoring in piano. My major concentration in college is Studio Art, and have also had experience in teaching art classes through M.A.D. Studio. Growing up, I was always interested in Physics, Math and Science. I started tutoring elementary students about a year and a half ago. I also teach swimming to all levels and ages at the City of Cerritos. I want to be able to get more students interested in the sciences early on to give them better opportunities in their scholastic career.

A Little Bit About Me...

I evaluate the student and see where he/she stands and move forward in progressing their skill. Every instrument is different and difficult in its own way. I will teach the student the most productive way to practice by using the technique I learned by professors and professional musicians. For trumpet, I work on the embochure, and breathing. For violin, I evaluate the way the student holds the instrument including posture. I use a special tape to help guide with the notes which I use as training wheels, and take them down one at a time as the student progresses. The student learns at his/her pace and will vary by the amount of practice he/she puts into it.
