20 year corporate management and 15 years of individual owner business experience. Presently own a finance company. 10 years International living experience. Teaching experience at the University of Iowa as a graduate instructor for undergraduate Management courses. Strength of educational experience is math, finance, economics and accounting, social science and political science. Presentation and test passing skills - yes it is a skill.
I have expectations that the student wants to learn and to achieve. I have all the time in the world for those who make the effort. Having lived overseas on two occasions and having run several businesses in many environments, I have a diversified experience base to relate authentic examples to the educational setting. I have over 13 years of tutor experience working with young and adult students. I have a BA in Criminal Justice this degree has helped me relate and better assist my students during our tutoring sessions. I enjoy reading and writing. In the past I have tutored students individually and in small groups of 3 to 4 to help them develop their basic reading, writing and study skills.
