I will only be taking elementary kids as students!

I am currently enrolled in highschool but I tutored many of my cousins for the past several years so I'm great with young kids! I don't have any proper work experience but I'm hoping this will be my first.I have volunteered at many elementary schools and I can speak fluent Hindi and Bengali. I think teaching styles should differ based on the preferred learning style of the student. The teaching style should play on the strengths and preferences of that particular student. That being said, I foster a student-centered approach to learning. This approach encourages the student play an equal, active role in the learning process, rather than a passive role. A cooperative approach is important so the student can feel like he or she is an active and capable participant in learning the material. I also believe in leading by example and allowing the student to use me as a resource for reviewing their work.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved to teach and have been told by my children that I should have been a teacher. When it comes to math I have found that most people who have trouble with math have simply missed some fundamental along the way.
