I do enjoy helping students with their problems. I have a technique of visualization. for example, which is the first example I use. I tell the student to think of a tree. in the seconds you think of a tree, you don't think of just the tree. you think of the roots, the trunk, the limbs, the branches, the leaves. then you think of whats going on in the tree, right down to the point of the tree taking in carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen and water. Why is the tree giving off water. most people do not know that the tree is making water because it is attaching hydrogen to the oxygen to get rid of the hydrogen, acid. I can apply this same visualization to almost anything.

A Little Bit About Me...

While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center.
I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.

A Little Bit About Me...

While attending Columbus State University, I volunteered by tutoring 2nd through 6th graders at the local Columbus Community Center. During which I also maintained a 3.00 GPA and graduated with a B.A. in Finance. While in college I found math to be my best subject and the area seemed to come to me as though it was second hand nature. In college, my degree required classes such as college algebra, statistics, quanitative analyze, intermediate accounting and financial analyze. I recently graduated on May 10th 2010 and enjoy reviewing what I have learned and I find tutoring as a appropriate method of choice.

A Little Bit About Me...

I don't think I can claim a specific teaching "style" just yet; I simply don't have enough experience to define myself in that regard. Besides, no single "style" or method is going to work with any given student. Everyone is different. My sales background gave me the chance to hone my skills in reading a person, and then proceeding accordingly with each individual. What I hope to do is engage a student in a conversation about the topic, and get their interest in that manner. I am laid-back and very easy to talk to, with a passion for making history as fun as possible. I'm 28 and relate well to kids.
