A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a PhD student in Chemistry and hold education in high regard. I believe education is the key to success in any field. I have a excellent grasp of the Sciences and Math coupled with excellent writing skills. From my undergraduate years I have tutored and mentored students in subjects ranging from Chemistry to Math, SAT, both Verbal and Quantitative sections, and English.
I strive to make the student better and ultimately independent. I teach to instill the love of education in the student and give the student my best. I work with the students and adapt well to the students needs, as each student is unique and may require a different approach. Over the years and the number of students I taught, I have learn a lot. Anatomy, neuroanatomy and neuroscience for example are topics that need an in-depth and rigorous learning. At the same time it will be the most rewording endeavor the student would have ever attempted. In my teaching, I try to present applications and examples to students . Physiological sciences also fall in the same category. To learn how we function, the learner needs to understand the overall relationship between the various elements that makes us. For example: to understand muscular activities we need to know how groups of muscles work together to perform a task. I have taught these topics in class settings and experimental laboratories.

I have always had a strong appreciation for education and learning new things. My educational experience was strengthened when I attended Cornell College, which has a strong liberal arts program. I immediately took an interest in the sciences and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Pre-medicine. My education was additionally complimented when I immersed myself in several language, mathematic, English, and humanity courses, which gave me a strong diversity in the liberal arts curriculum. Due to the smaller class sizes at Cornell, most of the exams were given in essay form, which strengthened my writing skills immensely.
