More About This Tutor...

I tutored all subjects - especially in Math all through High School. I also tutored in college. I have strong skills in Math - all levels - but I especially enjoy algebra. I have two children and I basically taught my oldest son math, since he was a different kind of learner than the way they teach at school. He is a very kinesthetic type learner and needs to see, feel and touch to understand the concepts - so I used a lot of tools to help him. I can tutor math and science exceptionally well and other subjects for the younger levels.
I enjoy teaching when there is a bit of a challenge getting the student to understand the concept. As I have mentioned, I can use different styles to help the student get the concept. I have a great deal of patience and believe that everyone can learn. I enjoy the way someone looks after they have understood and mastered an idea.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a caring teacher who is encouraging and helpful. I try to explain the material in a way so that students understand and keep trying different methods in order to determine how students learn best. Although I am very serious about helping students learn, I often use a lighthearted approach to help students loosen up and enjoy the learning process.
I am a certified teacher in English and Math with 5 years of experience teaching in both public and private schools. In addition, I have been tutoring for more than 15 years and teaching summer camps for young people for 10 years. I am an expert in helping students prepare for such tests as the TAKS, GED, ACT, and SAT.
