My comments on tutoring Science : Once again Science was my major in college and I graduated with a science degree.

I have worked in the science field for several years which has allowed me to utilize my college degree. Coming from a aerobic teaching background, I have no trouble motivation and explanation. I attended Houghton College for 2 1/2 years. Then I went to NCCC and earned an AS, then transferred to Charter Oak State College. They took all the credits I had earned as a student at both schools, allowed me to define my degree, told me which additional credits I needed and granted my degree. I have homeschooled my children for 15 years. My oldest is 19 and going to RIT in the fall. He has an AS which he got the week he turned 18. I also have two teens whom I currently school. A Little Bit About Me...

While working on my associates degree I tutored pre-calculus and statistics. I also worked briefly with catholic charities tutoring all subjects for high school students in need. I then completed my bachelors degree while tutoring part time at SUNY Oswego and independently with a high school student in Math and AP physics. I am currently working with that same H.S. student and now I am also working with a third grade student as well (also in math).

I worked for 2 years as an 8th grade math teacher, then 7 years as a 6th grade math teacher at Lowville Academy in Lowville,NY. I moved to be with a loved one to Liberty,NY and taught 6th grade math, science, social studies, and english. I recently moved to the central new york area to be closer to family. Before I was able to tutor, I taught 7 year old girls cheerleading. When I began to tutor, I enjoyed being one on one with the child. I am very patient, punctual and considerate. I know children that need extra help need extra time. I find it personally rewarding to supplament a child's education. I also believe it is easier for a child to ask questions when they are one on one with an educator.
Beginning in high school I found myself driven to help children in need.
