I have tutored grades k-4 in Math, reading and english for the past six years in an after school program. I have studied child development to help me relate to elementary students. My experience in writing for a newspaer has improved grammatical skills.This endeavor has given me an eye for correctness and detail to insist on with my students. My educational background in psychology and early childhood education has given me the insight to allow student to figure out things themselves with a little prompting. After that, it will be up to the student to assess and construct the information given in order to form his/her own opinion about the subject matter. True education and learning is ownership of the subject matter which comes through effort and discipline and a little bit of guidance.
