Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! I absolutely love reading, especially reading children's books or novels with students. I also love discussing books and helping students to understand the meaning behind the author's words.

From my experience, I have realized that students learn faster and retain the information they learned longer if a tactile, hands-on approach is used. Currently, I teach K-5 students, and no matter what I'm teaching, I try to turn it into an educational game where the students are up and moving and having fun while learning. Each one exceeded my expectations and learned far more than anyone could have imagined. I truly believe in finding the style of learning that suits each student, and pursuing that particular route. And I have found that you can include each learning style by using a tactile approach. It is extremely simple to add in visual and auditory components within hands-on activities. Certified Spanish Speaking Bilingual Teacher

I have been fluent in Spanish for more than 30 years. I was a bilingual (Spanish) 4th grade teacher for the last 7 years, as well as an ESL teacher for kindergarten - 6th grades. The last two years I have been a 1st/2nd grade bilingual (Spanish) teacher. Every summer for the many years I either taught summer school or at the local museum.

Hello! My name is Jennie and I am a Kindergarten Teacher as well as a junior high cheer coach. I graduated from Augustana College in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with middle grade endorsements in Mathematics and Language Arts. I have worked a great deal with children of all ages (3 +). I am currently finishing up my 3rd year as a kindergarten teacher and have LOVED every minute of it!
