A Little Bit About Me...

My area of interest is English and ESL. My teaching experience was part-time, as I was employed full-time as a newspaper advertising sales executive, and that was my main income. I am an excellent teacher and have experience with all types of students. My tutoring experience was during my time at San Jost City College. I tutored students in English, Black Studies and Creative Writing. I also tutored a child with learning disabilities in basic subjexts.

It is important for me to determine what motivates each student to learn, what their interests are and what is important to them. I wanted the student to see how each lesson was valuable to their future success. I always got my students involved in the classroom with open discussions. Each week my students gave a five minute presentation on a subject of their choise, building their self confidence along with their reading, writing and speaking skills.
