I use the methodologies and materials that allow my students the opportunity to achieve their learning objectives. I am a caring, patient, and flexible teacher. I have over fifteen years of combined experience teaching high school English, ESL, TOEFL and GED exam preparation as well as extensive experience tutoring and giving individual and group English lessons. I currently teach literature at a private secondary and high school and I coordinate and teach classes in a specialized ESL program that I founded. My previous experience includes teaching high school English for over ten years and working as a faculty member in the Adult Basic Education department at a state university.

I am a highly motivated indiviual who has earned there degree in Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico Tech. After graduating I worked for Procter and Gamble as a Manufacturing Engineer which allowed me to teach and train indivisuals how to run the manufacturing lines. Also during this time I provided extensive grammatical skills to write extensive test plans for new count sizes. My most recent position was working for Honeywell at white sands missle range where I was doing work with installing Geophones and strain gauges to measure the effects of the penetration of a missle going into the ground upon impact. My classroom setting is focused on the student and their needs. I heavily rely on repetition and object lessons to aid the students in comprehension and application. Depending on the age group, the beginning of my class (10 minutes) will require some exercise and/or Stretch and Flex routines to aid the student in concentration, the next session will be review, and the last session will be new material. Total time 60 minsutes I am one of eighteen siblings and was raised in the small town of Las Vegas, NM., homeschooled my son (7th-11th grade) who earned his degree in Psychology and minored in Theatre and have always had a passion to teach.
