A Little Bit About Me...

As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I feel it is important to hear it and see it, and if you can, touch it. Another important teaching style I implement, is watching my students and making sure they know how to do it. Going around and walking each student through the process and asking them to do what I did really confirms that the student understands what I have taught them.

I have worked at summer camps for children ages 8-16 throughout my entire life, and love making a difference in a child's life. I am very patient and have a positive attitude. I believe that students learn in different ways, and it is our job as educators to help enrich them for the future. When given the proper instructions and guidance I firmly believe that any child can succeed if just one person believes in them. I believe in all of my students, and do my best to help them reach their goals.
I have earned two bachelor degrees, one in Information Systems and Business Processes and the other in Communications and Media.
