My comments on tutoring Composition : Need to write that 5 paragraph essay? Thesis statement or hypothesis? Supporting facts and conclusion? I've done it hundreds of times and we can do it together. I expect the student to write the composition because it is all about you learning a skill that you can use for the rest of your life. If you want me to write it, please look elsewhere.

I am both a right and left brain thinker evidenced by the fact that I have both an academic undergraduate degree and a fine arts undergraduate degree. I have taught college students Graphic Design at Otis College of Design as well as Geography, Social Studies, and Art to K-6. I have spent 30 years as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director at educational institutions. I value instilling pride of accomplishment and critical thinking skills above all else, not matter what the subject. When a student has both of those he or she can learn almost anything.
