I am a graduate of Northeast State Community College. I am currently attending East Tennessee State University in pursuit of a BA in English with a minor in Education. I have been working with students form ages 5 to 14 yrs. in age for 2+ years. I like to give intruction and then give the student tools and resources to help them find their answers. I am a firm believer in using real life scenarios and showing students how information is applied to real life.

I like to accommodate to a child's personality and likes to help them to learn through distinct processes. When given the opportunity in the correct manner, children can learn most of what is put in front of them. By using example catered specifically to certain children, they are able to connect to the tutor as well as the subject. As a tutor, I am kind, laid-back and patient. Younger kids seem to gravitate to me, while the older kids relate to me. Coming from a family with no prior college education, I made it a point to not only graduate from a four-year university but to work as hard as I could to be the best at what I do. I accomplished what I have set out to do by graduating with a degree at both institutes I attended with a GPA above 3.0.
