I work in a team, and try to make connection between material and some real life example. Just to show an example, the pythagorus theorem is really useful to work around were we make use of the hypotenuse to walk less from point a to b rather than going through the path.

However, as a student at Susquehanna University, I also volunteered at least 2 days a week at a local preschool where I helped teach the students. In addition, I worked at a local elementary after-school program 2 days a week. I am currently pursuing my teaching certification through Drexel University.

During my experience as a tutor, I have gained the ability to identify the best way to convey the material in a way that matches the individual needs of the learner. Another thing that I have learned as a student and as a math tutor, is that the best and the most efficient way of learning in math is through practice and more practice.
