Bachelor of the Arts in Economics, experienced professional

I completed the pre-pharmacy undergraduate program at Maryville College, which means I have a strong base in science. Throughout my career, I have often trained colleagues in Microsoft Excel, programming simple solutions in Excel to automate processes, as well as in writing composition. I have professional experience across a broad spectrum of business.
From a family of teachers, getting concepts through to others, ones that I fully understand, is a practice that of which I find myself to be both very positive and successful.

My comments on tutoring Composition : I am an excellent writer and composer of many, many works, having written dozens of speeches, prose, and writings entirely on my own, and learned many tools, techniques, and options for writing and composition. I continue to be a prolific writer and composer to this day.

I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. In addition, I like to engage those I teach, challenging them to think about what they previously have not considered. I believe in building on successes, and offering constructive criticism, where appropriate.
I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. My academic record is very strong, and I believe empowering those I work with every single time. The only pre-requisites are that you have to be willing to learn, and learn how to learn.

My comments on tutoring Composition : Currently teaching Composition at the college level.

I believe in meeting a student at whatever level he or she is ready to work. I am friendly and like to develop a personal relationship with my students in order to know how to serve them better. I use technology as appropriate.
I began my career teaching music to students in grades K-8. I have always loved the Special Needs students and thus chose to pursue my Master's degree in the Special Education field. My first Special Ed. assignment was for ADHD and LD students in 7th grade Math and Language Arts. From there I have progressed to being the Lead teacher in inclusion settings as both the regular education teacher and the special education teacher. I am experienced in interpreting testing results and IEP writing and would willingly serve as an advocate for your chile and advocate. I am currently teaching grammar and composition to college level students.

While teaching at Maryville Children's Academy in Maryville, Tennessee, I created learning activities for the Kindergarten Readiness and Four Year Old students. During my Internship/Student Teaching experience at Donald Yates Primary School and Ocooe Middle School I taught various subjects in the second grade, and I also taught Social Studies and Science in the sixth grade. My teaching experience in the Ocoee Middle School sixth grade Social Studies class inspired me to create my Master's thesis Gate Trippin': An Unorthodox Curriculum Guide to an Ancient World. Current college student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Received 5s (the best score) on both AP writing assessments while in high school. Have never received a grade lower than an A in any writing related class during my academic career. I have a knack for teaching and I tutor my peers and friends in college writing courses.
