A Little Bit About Me...

I have a strong math and science background. In college, I started out in chemical engineering (2 1/2 yrs.) and then switched to education. My bachelor’s degree is a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Initially, I taught first grade in a parochial school. My next job was teaching math at the high school level to students with various learning disabilities. Next, I taught individualized mathematics at a science and technology high school. I also had experience team teaching in this environment. Presently, I am a high school resource teacher for 10th grade. I have previously taught resource at the 8th and 9th grade levels as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my Bachelor's degree in 1989 and worked as an assistant engineer in Binghamton NY until I started my masters program at SUNY Cortland. I have held Physics, Earth science, Chemistry and Biology appointments in the years that followed in a variety of School districts throughout the state. I have spent five years tutoring and 17 teaching, including 12 years of summer school. The best thing about teaching and tutoring science is that it easily transfers to all of the other disciplines.
