I am a very verbal teacher. I have a very observational teaching and learning style. I have an extensive educational history in which has allowed me to understand multiple ways of teaching and learning. I went to college at Westminster College for Math then changed my major to Fine Arts. I am proficient in Math up to Calculus 2 and i can teach Art very well. I have tutoring experience through high school and i work well with high school students. I can tutor from my home or i can travel. I am comfortable tutoring lower level math classes, mechanical design, or other engineering classes. Writing classes such as English, literature, or fine arts are fine as well. I have a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from MIZZOU. I am very proficient in technical editing, critiquing papers and writing technical papers. Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. I love working with children of all ages and abilities and helping them with academics. I don't believe I have a specific teaching style. I know that I have to be flexible and creative with each student. Everyone learns differently, and I feel it is my obligation to find what works for each child. I do belive in providing hands on and real life scenarios when teaching. I have been very successful in academics throughout my education. I was valedictorian of my high school, and I received the top honors in English, French, and Accounting. I also maintained a 4.0 average throughout my college education.

As an undergraduate at Slippery Rock University, I was approached by my adviser and chair-person in Physics to tutor their physics classes. I accepted their offer and within the two years of tutoring physics I enjoyed helping fellow students learn and understand the concepts of physics. Also, while helping others I could use the knowledge I have learned in previous classes and gain a better understanding of the field of physics. I received my MA in Statistics from the University of Pittsburgh in December of 2008. Since then I have been giving private lessons in statistics to undergraduate and graduate students.
