My math teaching experience has been primarily with students who didn't "get it" when they first took classes at a particular level of mathematics. My focus has been to take the material and translate it from the often-impenetrable form found in textbooks to a more accessible, practical presentation. I try to target problem areas that students are having. I encourage them to ask questions and stop me when I am explaining something in order for them to understand it better.
