My comments on tutoring German : I am a native German and a certified German teacher. I am teaching German right now and have been teaching the language for the past 8 years at all levels.

I taught German for 15 years in Public as well as Private schools in North Carolina. I am a native German speaker and received my teaching degree in Germany with a major in German. Besides teaching in my native country, I also taught German to French students ( 2 years) while living in the suburbs of Paris for 10 years. After my move to the US I first taught French for several years in a charter school before the school added German as a Foreign Language besides French and Spanish. My experience of teaching German covers all grade levels including elementary , middle school as well as High School, grades 9-12. including AP German. I lived in Germany for 9 years, moved back to the states in 2010. I attended 7 years of school in Germany, where German was the primary language spoken. In 2011 I became a teachers assistant for my German teacher at Wakefield High School, Raleigh NC. I also went to Wakefield Middle School and taught 20 kids, once a week German, for 3 months.

I think students either learn kinesthetically, visually, or auditorally, for the most part.
