I am a visual, hands-on learner and teacher, loving to give many examples and relate the subject to everyday life to make learning more interesting.
I am an upcoming freshman at East Georgia State College. During high school, I took all Advanced Placement classes and was rewarded the highest 4-year average in Mathematics, Science, and Literature. Also, I was a dual-enrolled student at EGSC during my high school career, completing advanced level courses in Literature and Mathematics. I scored a 1200 composite in math and reading on the SAT, earning the Zell Miller college tuition scholarship. Additionally, I tutored underclassman in all four core-subjects and for the SAT.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am in the process of earning my Master's Degree in Public Administration. I have completed my Bachelor's in General Studies and have two Associate's; One is Social Work and one Education. I have been in the classroom for the last 3 years and have tutor for the last five.

When it comes to my teaching style, I prefer to meet a student and take the first meetings to really get to know them, their learning styles and find out what goals we need to realistically set. After I have a goal in place I then like to work backwards and fill in the blanks of how we are going to achieve our goals. I have been known for my patience and creativity with my students. As a child growing up, I always knew I wanted to be in a position to help others particularly young children achieved their goals to become productive educated citizens. I worked hard and earned my bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and have 18 years of experience teaching in the public school system. Over a course of years, I have tutored students privately and once was employed with the Sylvan Learning Center here in Dublin. A Little Bit About Me...

I have learned that all students learn differently. I am patient and like to determine how the student learns first so I can better assist them. It is hard to make math fun but I try to show students the real world applications of math and do hands on activities. My goal is to provide ensight to students so that they can become successful adults.
