I have taught preschool,elementary and adult students for the past 8 years. As a preschool teacher, I developed my own curriculum and taught 3 year olds. I also worked for four years as a elementary teacher for Douglas County School District, in which I was responsible for organizing and following state and district K-2 curriculum. I believe in the Democratic approach to Educating the young. I start the year by asking the students what they would like to learn that year and we record this on a large sheet of paper. Students feel happy to know their wishes are so considered and then at the end of the year we review the list and they see that they have covered everything they wanted to learn and much more. I believe that our children hold the future of our world in their hands and hearts and for this reason I have a deep desire to assist them in learning all of their subjects as well as they can. Since 1996, I have been a successful elementary school teacher servicing students in grades K-8. Along with being a classroom teacher, I have obtained my Administrative Credential and Masters in Education with an emphasis on best practices. Most children have had positive and negative experiences at school.
