Because each student, young or old, responds to different learning stimuli (graphical or verbal) at diffrent rates, I always try to get to know my student first. I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. I believe in repetition and using examples that a student can relate to, and then testing the student's understanding of the subject matter.
As the oldest of five children, my 15+ years of tutoring experience includes helping my siblings in their homework when we were growing up. I have more than three decades of experience managing and working in marketing, PR, communications, the web, and media relations. In all of that work, I have always been the one "teaching people" how to use technology and computer, as well as how to write anc communicate. My passion, energy, drive, know-how, knowledge, inventiveness, and infectious optimism will all play a key role in me mentoring, teaching, and tutoring.
