I began my college journey as an English major. I decided to switch to Elementary Education to be able to reach future writers before they lost the love for it. I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.

A Little Bit About Me...

I worked in the finance field at the Chicago Board of Trade while speaking Japanese for many years ( I can also read and write Hiragana and Katakana.) At some point later in life, I decided on a career change and got my degree in special education. My comments on tutoring Spelling : I have been a first and second grade teacher for 8 years, therefore I work with students on spelling daily.
