I have a great deal of experience in educating students. I have earned my BA from Northern Illinois University in Communications, and I also have earned my MAT from Rockford College in Education. I have had my Type-03 Elementary Teaching Certificate since April of 2009. I have worked as a special education aide, student taught sixth grade language arts, and in the past year I have been a substitute teacher in Winnebago and Ogle County. I have taken many classes in reading, writing,and grammar. I have learned different ways to learn, as well as as different ways to teach and I would enjoy sharing my knowledge.

I also have experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). For the past several months, I have worked as a substitute teacher for kindergarten through 12th grade. As a young adult, freshly graduated from high school at the age of nineteen, I chose to enlist in the military to, among other things, have the opportunity to travel and experience other diverse cultures throughout the world. These profound experiences have shaped the person I am today and have been instrumental in fostering my curiosity and resolution to better understand people from other cultures.
