I am a college student at Coastal Carolina University. Willing to help anyone that needs tutoring. I am a junior studying Biological Chemistry. I am knowledgeable in many different fields besides science. Every subject I've listed I can teach to anyone willing to learn. I am a local from the area so I have a good understanding of the curriculum in the Horry county school system. I am able to teach any (k-12) material.
My teaching style is different for every person. I have to asses each individual student find out what their strong and weak points are before they can fully benefit from my tutor sessions. My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : understanding author's intent

I try to engage my students in every way possible. Reading and reciting are great for vocabulary memorization, but I try very hard to bring the subject matter to life in a meaningful way to the student. Pictures, music, relevant historical information- anything to help facilitate learning.

Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects!

Throughout my years of education I have helped my fellow students with many different projects. I have always been in all honors classes and I am a hard worker. I have lots of patience so if you don't get it the first time ITS OK. I have won first in state for engineering and math competitions and then proceeded to nationals. My academic abilities have made it capable for me to be a world traveler, therefor I can relate to some real life scenarios that others may not be able to grasp completely.

I prefer one on one teaching, so the child can have my undivided attention. I believe they will learn better that way.
I have volunteered at Crosswell Elementary school in 205, and in 2008. I worked with first, second and third grade children. I helped with reading, language arts, spelling, and test preparation. I am available to help with math as well. I also home school my two children as well, have been for three years.
