I am a recent graduate from Miami University. I have a degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Social Studies Education and my teaching certification is currently pending. I have over 60 credit hours completed towards a degree in music. My focus as a music student was voice, but I also spent a lot of time studying African American music. A Little Bit About Me...

I have degrees in English and English Education, which gives me a strong backround in which to tutor. I tutored undergrads at Ohio State in Freshman English and a high school student in Reading at Ohio University. I taught English as a Second Language as volunteer for two years through my Church. As a professional in the private sector, I wrote for and edited the company newsletter.
Though I am not teaching now I volunteer for Youth for Christ, teaching students in the Bible, personal ethics and making right life choices. A life goal has been to educate and enhance the lives of teenagers. I want students to move ahead, and use encouragement as a means to do this. I always try to establish a personal relationship with the student, as people do not care about what you know until they know that you care.
