A brief bit about me, I have gained many years of teaching and training related work experience. While employed at Premier Mortgage for four plus years, my primary duties included personnel training and coaching, and while employed by the Franklin County Community Based Corrections Facility (CBCF) I worked as a Program Facilitator, responsible for delivering a Life Skills & Vocation oriented Training curriculum (i.e., training classes) to program participants. Education wise, I have earned an MBA, Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and an Associate of Arts in Spanish. I have degrees in English and English Education, which gives me a strong backround in which to tutor. I tutored undergrads at Ohio State in Freshman English and a high school student in Reading at Ohio University. I taught English as a Second Language as volunteer for two years through my Church. As a professional in the private sector, I wrote for and edited the company newsletter.
Though I am not teaching now I volunteer for Youth for Christ, teaching students in the Bible, personal ethics and making right life choices. A life goal has been to educate and enhance the lives of teenagers. I want students to move ahead, and use encouragement as a means to do this. I always try to establish a personal relationship with the student, as people do not care about what you know until they know that you care.
