I enjoy working with, and teaching, kids, especially in Math. I teach with creative tactics, when necessary, to drive home a concept. I am patient with kids (hey, I have 3 of my own!), and find it rewarding when I can make a difference.
During my Junior and Senior year of college, I tutored at a Children's Home in Lubbock, TX, 3 nights a week. I have also taught Sunday School classes off and on for the past 15 years for ages 1 year to 14 years old. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating with an Early Childhood/Elementary degree, I took the 3-6 year old Montessori training. I began teaching in a private Montessori school for 5 years. I then worked part time in various positions including substituting for 10 years while my daughters were in school. I was the Director of a Head Start daycare in the inner city which serviced many refugees. For the last 3 years I have taught 2nd grade in a typically hispanic school in the inner city.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. Watching a student light up after learning how to do something is the greatest thing for me.
