I have currently finished 2nd-year Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Limerick, Ireland. I love working with people and helping them in their studies and Musical interests. My comments on tutoring Physics : I was a physics minor as an undergraduate, and took numerous courses in basic physics, including a course in special relativity and the basics of quantum mechanics. I also took courses in applied physics, including thermodynamics, strength of materials, and statics. I can therefore show many of the applications of physics as well as teaching the fundamentals. I have taught physics at the college level, albeit only once for each of the first two semester. However, I have also tutored any number of physics students.

As a teacher and tutor, I focus on developing conceptual knowledge (rather than memorization), and structured study methods, problem-solving techniques, and test-taking skills,including post-test analyses of mistakes as a learning tool. I encourage the student to develop skills appropriate not only to the discipline, but to his or her own personal learning style. I like to use on-line interactive tutorials, especially with students who are highly visual or hands-on learners. At the same time, as a tutor,I like to interact with the student's instructor (and, where appropriate, the parents) to best serve his or her needs.

A Little Bit About Me...

I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material. I do not like to tell my students the answers, inhibiting them from thinking things through. I try to find different ways of teaching material in order to keep them motivated, as well.
I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Repeating 7th grade, I learned to read and write German fluently, as well as master the local dialects and sundry colloquialisms without a lingering accent. Doing so allowed me mask my heritage, enroll in higher education, and learn a trade, culminating in a long and rewarding all-encompassing painting career abroad and in the eastern US, before settling in Texas to explore telecommunications.
