Typically, I'll read over papers, asking questions as I go and making comments as I go along. I do like to mark on papers so that changes can be more easily made. I generally try to think of new and creative ways to explain grammatical concepts and general writing concepts if I'm not being clear. Basically, my tutoring sessions involve a lot of conversation. Spelling is one of my top subjects! It is imperative to look up words to learn origin, spelling, definition, parts of speech, and so on.

My experience in writing extends 20 years. This includes publication. My book, More Than I Deserve, was published in February, 2013. I am currently working on screenplays for film and animation. Presently, I am adapting a novel by a local author to a light comedy screenplay. It is a coming of age story about the author's boyhood. The work is for a local publishing company.

A Little Bit About Me...

Along with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, I have many educational experiences in the area of science, math, history (to name a few). And in all levels of the educational process; from elementary through high school and even collegiate. My previous experience has included high school students and many college undergrads.
My personal style varies on the pupil. These may vary from simply being frustrated with the curriculum to a myriad of influences. My style is considered out of the box, meaning that if the standard method does not "click" with him/her, then I enjoy finding something of interest to them, to relate that to the subject at hand.
