Creative and Enthusistic K-6 Certified Teacher

I am a special education teacher with 6 credit hours to go until I have earned my Master in Adaptive Special Education. I student taught 5th grade, was a middle school special education para for the remainder of that school year once I earned my Bachelor's then transitioned into 2-4th grade adaptive Math, and all Language Arts. I enjoy using visuals and technology to reach students, keep them engaged, motivated, and enrich their learning. I enjoy teaching about social studies, history, art, and other subjects that I believe create a better rounded student.

I taught one year of six grade in Hoxie, Kansas in 1977. After this, I entered Mennonite Voluntary Service and directed a tutoring program in Philadelphia for two years, training high school tutors, organizing the curriculum and matching students to tutors. Following this I have had a successful career as a Buyer -- then a Senior Buyer -- for over 20 years. However, I did not leave tutoring behind.
