My style involves asking key/critical/opened-ended questions to guide the tutee towards ways of improving his or her writing skills, grammar, and arguments/critical thinking content so that (s)he can write at his or her optimal level.
I intensively studied English Literature at the University of California, Berkeley (whose Literature Program is rated 2nd in the U.S., only behind Yale) and graduated with honors, summa cum laude in 2003. I am very determined and driven to complete my education in the field on Psychology and then move on the Medical School. Being a Psychology Major has taught me intensive research and presentation skills and has allowed me to be critical and analytic from a scientific point of view. Also, being a Spanish minor, I have come to be almost fluent in the language, with an extensive background in grammar, comprehension and literature. A Little Bit About Me...

I think that everyone has a propensity to learn a language and each student needs someone very patient to go down the path of language learning with them. A student learning a foreign language must speak the language a lot, so I will place an important emphasis on conversational skills. Once a student can converse correctly and comfortably in another language, they will have more fluency in their writing, reading and listening skills. There will also be an emphasis in authentic learning materials, and will consist of materials made by and for Spanish Speakers in Latin America and Spain. Above all, I love to work with people and like to empower them and get to know their life stories.
