A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught students 6 years and older, beginner through advanced level for almost 20 years. My musical training began at the age of 6 1/2 when I begged my Mother for piano lessons. I was intrigued, having watched my older sister and mother play. Even though my sister's piano teacher preferred students 7 years and older she made the exception to begin lessons earlier for me. I've enjoyed playing solo works as well as choral and have explored many genres.
Lessons are tailored to each students learning style and musical preferences. A wide selection of genres is taught while teaching concepts.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am an experienced tutor. I tutored all through high school. I am currently a freshmen at George Mason University. I've helped kids with mainly math, piano, and chinese. I've also helped elementary school kids with homework and basic learning skills etc. I enjoy helping kids understand their materials and I do my best to help make learning something fun and interesting.
I think interest in the subject leads to motivation to do well. I try my best to keep the kids interested in the subject by making games and sometimes surprises. I do think that homework I assigned is very important because I believe practice makes perfect. What I can do is help the kids understand the materials and the homework helps consolidate the materials even more.

During high school I interned in a first grade classroom for one year in which I planmed/taught lessons. I also have young siblings and family members which I help with assignments on a daily basis. In college, I tutored students taking various Psychology courses. I enjoy conducting research, reading scientific articles, analyzing and interpreting data.
