I received a technology degree in 1975. Several years later I returned to college to persue a Physics/Mechanical Engineering Degree from SUNY New Paltz and RPI. I was an "A" student in Physics and enjoyed tutoring many classmates. I was a guest lecturer several times at RPI. Due to work and family commitments I did not complete the degree. My wife and I homeschooled our children through the primary grades. I taught sciences. While an Employee at IBM, I wrote and taight technical courses. I have experience working with adults but I love working with children as well. I have the ability to manipulate the way I teach that will maximize the learning for each individual. I'm am a very personal and creative person thats wants everyone to succeed in their academics.
While studying for my undergrad in economics I found a passion in helping others succeed as I was. I often held study sessions with groups ranging from 2- 10 people at least twice a week. When during these sessions if an individual felt lost, I would often meet with them at a later date to coach them separately. Ever since I volunteered at Guilderland High School where I helped children with homework, I love teaching and being around with children. Once you put the effort into their learning and be there with them one step at a time until they finally understand the concept and/or get the answer, it is an amazing feeling.
I recently graduated from Syracuse University. I majored in finance and marketing management with a minor in information technology. In my finance courses, I have gained extensive knowledge in different areas of math. Apart from my academic studies, I joined clubs where I held leadership positions which allowed me build team building and leadership skills. A Little Bit About Me...

While attending Siena College, I was employed as a tutor for approximately one year. I aided students in the subject of QBUS, or Quantitative Business Applications. This course focuses on the math skills that are necessary to excel as a professional businessperson today. A majority of the material covered included algebra and pre-calculus, so I would be qualified to tutor in these areas.
