I began teaching piano in 1975, the summer after my sophomore year in high school. I continued to teach through college. As a teacher, I have been able to utilize both my BME (Bachelor of Music Education) and my Bachelor and subsequent Masters Degrees in Music Therapy to support my students wide range of learning needs. I have also taken additional classes in psychology and classes that dealt with learning disabilities. I believe that I can effectively utilize these skills as a tutor. I have worked with children for many years and in many different settings. I have observed so many different learning styles and I strive, as a teacher, to be flexible enough to help a child learn using their strengths.
