I type between 85-100wpm. I'd be happy to help your child learn speed typing and the basic touch typing before speed typing for beginners. Every student learns differently. I have explored the many ways to teach so that children can learn. From previous teaching experience I am aware that some children are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. I teach based on the individual learning style. I have an MBA in Marketing. I have a BA degree in Science Business Communications. I have helped children and adults with their assignments. I work mainly with Kinder through 10th grade. I help with writing, Reading, Touch Typing, Math and Science. I have helped with Marketing papers and other college assignments as needed.

I have worked with various needy students who have been classified as learning disabled, or those who know they are in need for assistance. My experiences vary, as I worked with older children in filling out applications for jobs and to prepare for jobs. I also, have worked with many adults on writing papers for college preparation or with helping their children on writing tasks. I have worked with young children on phonics and reading readiness. My style is what works for the person I am working with. I am opened to sharing my ideas, but listening to each individual and what works for them.

I believe in helping the students discover their own answers. Through patient discussion and problem solving the students will better understand the subject matter. It is important to take the time and listen to their problems so as to best understand how to achieve a solution. At times learning disabilities or other problems can require creativity in reaching the student. Through my years of working with teenagers I can achieve that creativity. I am a comfortable and relaxed person. I love working with students and helping them achieve academic success. Nothing is better for me than seeing a struggling student find new and exciting success.
