I often use word games or riddles as rewards for good work. It motivates effort from my students and makes them listen more closely. With my esl students, I made sure to apply new words to their life in order to gain the most retention of the new vocabulary words. The approach I use of ask students to draw from their own lives in order to illustrate meaning and comprehension encourages a dailogue that works well with any vocabulary words for any age group.

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, graduating in May 2013.

I am currently a senior at Urbana University and will be graduating in may of 2013. Along side of being a full time student of mathematics I also play varsity baseball at the university and have received the scholar athlete award several times in my four years. Being a division 2 athlete has given me the best of both worlds I believe in that play on the field was competitive and forced me to become a leader but also helped in making me accell in the classroom as it is said the student always comes first in student athlete.
