I recently obtained my BS in Marketing along with a minor in Animal Science from Iowa State University. I was very involved with volunteer activities as a high school student, one of which involved tutoring elementary age children in the areas of reading and writing. I have long excelled in these areas, scoring nearly a perfect in the reading and writing sections on my ACT and working in advanced english courses throughout high school. As a graduate of Bethel University, I am currently pursuing a teaching career and am committed to excellence. While I was at Bethel, I earned two bachelor degrees, one in Creative Writing and one in Spanish. I assisted numerous friends by copy editing their essays, showing them where I saw they could improve while affirming where I saw their strengths. Each of these friends received A's or B's on their polished work. I also studied in Spain for one semester to complete my degree. I have worked with the Special Needs community for almost five years now, and have worked for ACR Homes in St. Paul, MN and for REM, Iowa besides working as a para-educator for Wickham elementary.
